The article that I have discovered on CNN for my current event was, "Dozens of Graves, trafficking camps found in Malaysia" by Euan McKirdy. On Monday, May 25 of 2015 there were 139 graves found on the Thai border from human trafficking. It is said from, Khalid Abu Bakar, it's a high possibility that there are more than just one body in the graves. The reasoning for the huge results of human trafficking was a result of punishment for migrants. As resolution the U.S Navy has requested for the Thai military planes to help stranded migrants on the Andaman Sea.
I chose this article to raise awareness that today there are countries that have outrageous punishments. Not only that but as Americans we should try and help find a way to make mirgants find the proper way to enter countries. Such as Obama today has created a new law for immigration. He has set rules and standards that people must follow in order to become a legalized citizen. For those that come into the United States without accomplishing these requirements will be subject to fines from the Internal Revenue Service. Human trafficking shouldn't be a punishment but should be banned. For they aren't fully innocent but shouldn't be getting this treatment.
